Battlefront II

First of all, I want to point out that this is my 100th post. Second of all, I haven't posted in forever. Thirdly, this post is about my BFII (Battlefront II) internet server called indianajonesdidyou. My friend Stephen and I host it daily. Anyway, if you are reading this, it's probably because you saw my video on YouTube (if not, either go here or you can watch it whenever I upload it to Blogger [note: this video will not be on Blogger or YouTube until October 12th at 4:00 EST]). So if you saw the video, you are probably wondering where the typed version of the server rules is. Well here it is [note: it may look a little weird cuz there was an issue transferring it from Word. Also the pictures are not included]:

indianajonesdidyou Server Rules

I. Session

The Session name is always indianajonesdidyou and the password is always -------- [the password is not included in this version either!] (no caps, no spaces)

There are eight maps:

  • Coruscant
  • Death Star
  • Jabba’s Palace
  • Kamino
  • Mustafar
  • Mygeeto
  • Tantive IV
  • Utapau

For each map, there are two eras:

  • Clone Wars
  • Galactic Civil War

There is only one mode:

  • Conquest

There are two ways of playing*:

  • Sniper
  • All Class

Before each battle, the two admins (sirrender101 and DarthFenix117) will decide which way the map will be played based on map and era. This will be communicated to the player(s) via chat.

*These ways of playing are not used on any other server. They were created by sirrender101 and DarthFenix117.

II. Global

There are never any AI players. The point of the server is for real human players [and no computer players] to compete against each other.

The maps are always played in Random Order.

III. Host

The maximum players is three (sirrender101, DarthFenix117, and wioh) but this can change at any time when other players request to play.

There is no warm up, this only cuts away from the allotted playing time.

There is no voting threshold, no players can or will be booted or banned because there is not a computer-based admin.

Team damage is turned on for the purpose of the ability to take damage/be killed by the players own/team members’ mines, rockets, detpacks, thermal detonators, etc. Do not purposely attempt to kill your own teammates.

Player names will always be shown so the player knows who is where and whether or not they are on the player’s team.

Teams are player-select, but the player(s) must say what team they are on. There will always be the same number of players on each team unless there is an odd number of players. If there are three players on one team and one on another, then the player on the team of three who was the last to say they were on that team/not say anything at all will be forced to join the team with only one player so that the teams are even.

There always must be two minimum players before starting a match. This is so that one player does not capture their Command Posts before other players have a chance. Each team may only have half the Command Posts. If there are six Command Posts, each team may have three. If there are four Command Posts, each team may have two. If there are five Command Posts, each team may have two and one Command Post must be left neutral. No player may steal a Command Post from another team. Once a Command Post has been captured, it may never belong to the other team. Command Posts may be neutralized by the opposing teams so that the team is unable to spawn there, but the Command Post still belongs to the original team, and that is the only team that can recapture it. If a Command Post is accidentally captured by an opposing team, the original possessors of the Command Posts MUST recapture it immediately. An uneven balance of Command Posts can damage the reinforcement count. No player may shoot at another player when a Command Post must be captured. If the Command Post that was accidentally captured was originally neutral, then the other team must only return it to its neutral state.

Player awards are turned off so that no player has an advantage over another.

IV. Hero

Heroes are turned on but may ONLY be used in an all-class battle. This is due to the fact that no hero can snipe.

It takes ten points to unlock a hero and the first player to reach ten points on their team will unlock the hero that corresponds with that map, era, and team.

After a hero has been defeated, the top-ranking player on that team will be allowed to use that hero after two minutes have passed. If you do not want to be the hero, please decline immediately so that other players who want the hero can use them.

V. Conquest

As said before, there are no AI players.

Reinforcements are at twenty. When playing the game, this means each team needs thirty kills. It is possible to make it so that the other team needs less kills due to accidental suicides or killing a teammate.

Matches are not timed. The matches usually last anywhere from five minutes to forty-five minutes. Matches can be ended early, by communication and approval from the admins. This usually means when the first team to need only ten more kills or five more kills wins. This is to save time on unusually long matches. The way to end a match is that EVERYONE changes to the team that won and captures all the Command Posts.

VI. Other

A. Vehicles

Vehicles may only be used for transportation. If a player is in a vehicle, they may not shoot at anyone or cause any damage to another player. Also, players may not damage vehicles when another player is in one. They also may not damage a player that is in a vehicle if the player is visible. Players CAN lay mines or detpacks on vehicles ONLY if no one is in them so that the vehicle will blow up whenever someone tries to get inside.

B. Leaving a Command Post after Spawning

No one can stay in a room or general vicinity where there is a Command Post. No one can be in a position to snipe/damage a player the second they spawn.

C. Sniper Battles

In a sniper battle, each player MUST ALWAYS spawn as a Marksman/Sharpshooter (whichever character has a sniper rifle). The only weapon players may use is the sniper rifle. They may not use Blaster Pistols, Thermal Detonators, or Auto Turrets.

D. Hosting

The host will always either be sirrender101 or DarthFenix117. The two players will switch off every day that the server is set up. If one of the two cannot host on a day they are supposed to, they must tell the other and they will put up the server. If neither player can host, players will be notified on the server via chat the day before. The server will always be put up at 4:00 EST Monday-Friday. The server will sometimes be put up on Saturday and Sunday, but at times that will be disclosed on the Friday before via chat on the server.

If you have questions or concerns, contact the admins at sir.render101@gmail.com.
